The MIC Direction Committee has been in contact with the governmental authorities, being constantly updated on the growing problems affecting public health by the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). The current situation has led to the Catalonia General Secretary of Sports to communicate to us the imperative of cancelling the MIC edition this Easter.  

In just little more than 50 days the ball will be rolling again and the categories are practically closed. There are very few places left for the MICBasketball 2020, 80% of them have already been confirmed for teams that have completed their registration. In a few days we will close registrations so the teams that are thinking about it… They must hurry!    

During MICBasketball  you experience many thingsIt is a week in which participants take home memories for a lifetimeBut without a doubtthe most special day of each year is the day when MICIntegra is played. Vidreres is the town that hosts this special eventwhere the integrating power of sport can be perfectly appreciated.     

We’re four months away from the beginning, but MICBasketball 2020 is starting to look great. We have already the first teams confirmed for the tournament (April 9th-12th 2020, Costa Brava). Wanna know which ones? The tournament will be international, with different levels... everyone has his room!

The end of the summer has also good things, at least for those of us who like basketball. The big leagues have started, the Euroleague starts this week and the youth teams meet again after a well-deserved holiday. Thousands of players have an exciting season ahead in which they will continue to fight for the dream of becoming stars of this sport.

Pierre Oriola (26) took part in the historical Spanish win at the FIBA World Cup this Sunday. The power forward started the game on the floor, doing a great defensive job against Luis Scola. He stopped the Argentinian legend and finished the game scoring 7 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Spain crowned the world for its second time.
